Day 2, At Sea

Today started with Rob telling us there was a rainbow but by the time I got out to the balcony it was gone.

The skies are blue, the sea is blue, even the balcony floor is blue. Below Florida is Cuba so we had to turn east to go around it.

Then breakfast came to the room

We went to a talk about our first stop in Cartagena, Columbia.

We went to a meet and greet and guess who I got to meet, the Captain of the Island Princess

We went to the back of the ship and we could see the waves we had caused. I heard this is called the wake of the ship.

And guess what the name of the Princess Mascot is?  It's Stanley. But he isn't Flat

We then went to an Afternoon Tea. I wasn't too sure about going to a high class event. But guess what, they had cookies, pastries and cake! And Tea. But we couldn't eat too much and spoil our dinner.

Then we had to go get ready.  This was the first formal night where everyone dresses up. So Toni even made me a black bow tie to go with Rob's

So we were all spiffed up and ready for dinner

On the way to dinner, we saw them stacking glasses very carefully. Wasn't sure what they were doing. But Rob and Toni told me to wait until after dinner to see.

I like pointing out the things on the menu to help them decide.

After dinner I saw what they do with all those glasses.  They have people pour into the top glasses until it overflows but the glasses below it catches all of it. Then they overflow and the next glasses catches it. That is why they call it a waterfall. None of it ever hit the floor or even the table!!  I wonder if Mommy and Grammy would let me do that at home?

Then my new buddy, the Captain, got up and welcomed everyone and they introduced all of the senior staff.

Then we went to show in the theatre. It was called on the Bayou. A lot of singing and dancing about  New Orleans, Louisiana (I have relatives down in Louisana)

And we are now going in between Cuba and Haiti and on the way to Cartagena, Columbia on Sunday.

2 days down, 109 to go
