 Pulling into Melbourne, Australia

Everyone had to debark to go through customs and immigration and a passport is needed.

The view as we docked

The guide said Rod Laver was one of the best Australian Tennis players but that was before my time!

Arrived at the Heallsville Sanctuary

I saw these first but they weren't the real ones we were looking for

Finally the Koalas

Then the Kangaroos

We almost didn't leave the Koalas and Kangaroos but did go see what else there was here

Not sure I would like to see these and the sign agreed

Lizard eggs

These were nocturnal (active at night: "most owls are nocturnal") so they were in a dark area with only red light.

And we couldn't leave without stopping to check on the Koalas

Then off to lunch. Rob and Toni kept saying that they were drinking old grape juice but I couldn't have any!

American Oak barrels

I really liked this sign and was hoping to see one. They said it is like deer at home and you need to watch while you are driving at dawn and dusk

I wanted to go see the Bat Cave but they didn't take us there!

Cool Buildings

Back to the port and we walked to a nice beach near the ship

And we got back to the ship. we will head back out the way we came, then turn north towards Sydney. A Sea day tomorrow.
