Mar 7: Pennang

  Penang, Malaysia

Penang was our last minute replacement for Langkawi, Malaysia. It was actually closer to Singapore and our port arrival slot was 11:00 so it has been a slow smooth ride to Penang.

Malaysia money

The Malaysian ringgit (/ˈrɪŋɡɪt/; plural: ringgit; symbol: RM; currency code: MYR; Malay name: Ringgit Malaysia; formerly the Malaysian dollar) is the currency of Malaysia. It is divided into 100 sen (formerly cents). The ringgit is issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia.

1 ringgit is about 22 cents, $1 dollar is about 4.52 ringgit
