Mar 8 : Phuket, Thailand

 Phuket, Thailand

Waves were making the normal tenders a little hard to use so Princess rented a few larger ferry boats to bring people aboard.  But it did delay everyone leaving so our planned morning excursion was mostly an afternoon excursion.

Arriving at the port

Welcome to Thailand.

Driving through Phuket to start the excursion

We have seen more 7-Elevens in the last few ports than I have seen in the US for a long time

Gas station within 2 feet of the road that only the motorcycles and mopeds can fit

But the big ones are just like at home (including with a Burger King)

Lots of yard statues. Can you find all the animals.

Wow, three on the bike

Double Wow, four on a bike

And ladies with their hat (and Minnie Mouse purse) riding in the back of the truck

Big Buddha

We got to feed the elephants a basket of fruit

Almost looks like she was smiling

I thought Toni was going to let her grab me!!

Then we got to walk through the sanctuary with the elephants

Then back through Phuket to the port

And back at the port and onto a tender.

Back onboard around 6 pm

After cleaning up, Rob and Toni were sporting some new clothes

Dinner celebrating International Women's Day

Moulin Rouge under the stars

At sea for the next couple days
